Sharyn Misenheimer Fogel

Sharyn M. Fogel is a Brevard, NC native. She attended Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, UNC-Asheville, and Brevard College in Brevard, NC. She studied portrait painting with Roman and Constantine Chatov in Atlanta, Georgia for 3 years and participated in many workshops with individual teachers including Joe Miller, Tony Couch, Daniel Greene, Sue Russell, Eileen Fabian, Herbie Rose, Dean Davis, and Michael Del Priore.

Sharyn shows her work in Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville, North Carolina. In 2003, she had two paintings selected for the Southern Living House at Brookgreen Gardens, Pawley’s Island, SC. She displays her work at Mountain Made in the Grove Arcade in Asheville, NC, and A Walk in the Woods in Hendersonville.

Sharyn is a member and past president of the Transylvania Art Guild, The Portrait Society of America, and the Watercolor Society of North Carolina.
